Imagine for a second what it would feel like to have a complete stranger come up to you. Without so much as a “hello” this person has launched into a sales pitch about how you must buy their product. That would be pretty disconcerting, right? It definitely wouldn’t give you any desire to buy their product. What’s wrong with this picture?
